The wandereroo, bearded monkey or lion tailed macaque (Macaca silenus) is a species of macaque found only in India. It is closely related to the lampun yawn (Macaca nemestrina)The wanderoe is a medium-sized monkey. He has a greyish black coat with large, grey sideburns running around his face in a wreath of grey mane. This gives the animal the alternative name "bearded monkey". The tail is medium long with a plume at the end, like a lion. The wandereroo is 46 to 61 centimetres long, the tail 25 to 38 centimetres long. Females weigh an average of 6.1 kilograms, males 8.9 kilograms.
