The Gooise buitenplaats Bantam (Bussum) is a bit of an oddity among all the other Gooise buitenplaatsen (Schaep en Burgh, Boekesteijn, etc.). On Bantam, more is left to nature. Dead trees are left standing, fallen trees are left waiting to happen by themselves. Clearing is left to the many small insects that live on the forest floor and, of course, to the mushrooms and fungi.
Seeing this scene on Bantam in autumn made me all happy. Coloured beech leaves on the ground and beautiful sun harps (sun rays) fell between the half bare branches.
The fresh look of this scene makes it very suitable to hang nice and big on your wall. It fits well on a white wall, but also in an interior with fresh green, olive green, sand or terracotta.
TIP: the picture will look great on Canvas, but perhaps best on acrylic glass.
