Light Wish – Dreamy Painting in Petrol and Orange by Peter Pen Drawings and Paintings

Fantasy portrait in the Old Masters style, in petrol blue, orange and cream, with a dreamy, warm atmosphere; a vertical painting, making for an atmospheric wall decoration for the living room or children’s bedroom.

‘Lichtwens’ tells a little magical story. Two richly dressed children are holding glowing paper lanterns and looking up in wonder. The warm orange light of the lanterns contrasts beautifully with petrol blue, cognac and soft cream. Period costumes, lace and rich fabrics lend the scene the atmosphere of an old masterpiece, whilst the lanterns add an unexpected and playful twist. The cloudy sky and their shared gaze upwards reinforce the sense that something special could happen at any moment. A charming work of art about wonder, light and togetherness, suitable for both an atmospheric living room and a stylish children’s bedroom.
