The Hierdensche Beek in the Leuvenum forest on the Veluwe. The photo was taken in the spring. The leaves that fell off last fall have not yet decayed and color the bottom red orange. The trees are still light green and reflect in the gently flowing water. Thus, two seasons have been captured in the image. This stream is also called Leuvenumse Beek and Staverdense Beek, depending on the area in which it flows. Vereniging Natuurmonumenten owns the nature reserve and manages it. Famous places in the vicinity are Ermelo, Nunspeet, Elspeet and Putten.
