About the artwork

In Lemon, the photographer shows a powerful sample of minimalist still life. A single lemon - imperfect in shape, with a vibrant, deep yellow skin - lies on a weathered wooden surface. The lemon still bears a short stalk with a shriveled leaf, a subtle reminder of the tree on which it once grew.

The background is deep black, drawing all attention to the subject. The light falls in sideways, highlighting the texture of the skin: rough, almost leathery, like a skin that has gone through life. The wood underneath - full of knots, scratches and cracks - seems to represent time itself.

Although the image is still, it feels charged. Here, the lemon becomes not an everyday fruit, but a symbol of contrast: freshness and decay, simplicity and depth, acid and stillness. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
