About ‘Le château du Moulinel’ by Reinder

The Château du Moulinel is so called because it is located in the hamlet of Le Moulinel near à Saint-Josse, Pas-de-Calais province. It was probably built in the mid-19th century. Jules Cozyn (1874-1953) son of a merchant from Montreuil-sur-Mer, inherited from his parents the estate registered in Moulinel between 1881 and 1906. On the eve of World War I, he had the tower built there, which used gravity to create pressure in the building's water pipes.
The outbuildings on the left of the photo of which only the roofs can be seen now house a dog and cat shelter.
At the time of taking the photo, there was no sign of life on the estate except the peaceful grazing of the donkey. The silence, interrupted only occasionally by the gentle rustling of leaves by a breeze gave it a mysterious atmosphere. I would have liked to stay there all afternoon such was the attraction of the scene. The donkey came closer and closer. The infrared technique used added to the enigmatic atmosphere.
