About "Glycerin refinery Farmsum"

About the artwork

We see the Glycerine factory in Farmsum, part of Chemie Park Delfzijl. The sun has now set. Due to the twilight, a rich range of metal colors is still well illuminated. Metal that serves as a pipe or construction forms a tangle of shapes and surfaces. The lights distributed throughout make it a kind of Christmas tree. Two pipes flare a gas. The red and white striped gates stand out against the mostly green surroundings. Some sheep graze in the foreground. Where they stay, the vegetation has a different color than the bright green lawn behind the fences.

The chosen image was a fluke. I was cycling back to our holiday accommodation with my wife when this installation appeared. She (my wife) was patient enough to read a bit of a book at the end of the day while I needed fifteen minutes to capture this image.
I still find it an exciting picture. There is something overwhelming about such a gigantic installation. The peaceful tranquility of the grazing sheep brings the something that the scène can use.
As a work of art in a home interior, this is a unique image. Not often will you have a photo of a chemical factory hanging on the wall. But perhaps also interesting for someone who is familiar with these types of environments. For that person, seeing the photo may feel like coming home.

About Reinder

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
