* Tidal Pool *
Beach on the Lofoten in Norway at the polar circle with steeply rising rocks and mountains as well as water-washed stones. The high surf often creates small water islands (tidal pools) between the stones lying on the beach, which can form real small biotopes over time. Sometimes in these biotopes live small creatures like crabs and crustaceans, which are then enclosed by the ice in winter. If you come in winter, you can discover and marvel at them in the frozen water of the small water pools. The picture was taken in October at sunrise. Upright / portrait image.
