Landing of a Bristol Blenheim (L6739). Bristol Blenheim was introduced to the Royal Air Force in 1937. Often considered the forgotten bomber, but when World War II broke out, more than 1,000 aircraft were in service with the RAF. In addition, it was a Blenheim that was the first RAF aircraft to fly over Germany in September 1939. The Blenheim was a versatile aircraft that operated as both a day and night fighter and bomber.
