The Fokker 70 is a twin-engine commercial aircraft for regional flights. It is the last commercial aircraft developed by the Fokker company.
The aircraft was developed by Fokker in the Netherlands and the first one entered service in 1993. The Fokker 70 was developed as a smaller variant of the Fokker 100, which in turn was a further developed variant of the Fokker F-28. Between 1993 and 1997, 48 examples were built. Largest user of the type was KLM Cityhopper, with 19 aircraft. The last aircraft was withdrawn from service on 28 October 2017. There was also a Fokker 70 in service as a Dutch government aircraft.
