This aircraft, flown by Atlas Air, still flies in the colours of Polar Air Cargo (white) and DHL (yellow), however those two names have been removed from the fuselage since some time.
The Boeing 747 entered the market in the late 1960s and was a groundbreaking aircraft at the time, making flying accessible to a wide audience. A total of 1,574 were built since 1967. In the Netherlands, the type flew for decades with KLM and Martinair, where it was popular among passengers and staff.
