Just before nightfall, I take this photo of some large mooring posts in the water. I see that they beautifully mirror the canal. There is very little wind so the surface of the water is almost ripple-free. The evening sky is beautifully reflected. Blue sky can be seen and coloured clouds. These are almost purplish, a little bit of evening red. We look into a tributary arm of this canal. Along the bends are all houseboats on the shore. In this beautiful composition, the mooring posts with their dark mirror image are right in the middle. Behind them it gets lighter and there is a fine picturesque perspective. The colours in this picture are very restrained. That makes the picture moody. It has just turned spring and that gives photo makes an optimistic positive look.
