Lake Atitlán is a crater lake, a lake surrounded by twelve villages and three volcanoes at an altitude of 1500 meters in Guatemala. The villages are named after the twelve apostles. The British writer Aldous Huxley called it " the most beautiful lake in the world ". Remarkable is the tranquility and the clear blue water.
