About ‘Konik horses’ by Dirk van Egmond
Konik horses in the snow in nature reserve Lentevreugd. There are about 20 of these horses. The konik is often said to be related to the tarpan, an extinct wild horse from Eastern Europe. Like many other original horse breeds, the konik is small (pony size) and its coat shows characteristics of the wild color pattern.
