About ‘Kingfisher From The Water: A Perfect Moment’ by Thijs Schouten

From a waterfront hut, I was lucky enough to capture a kingfisher the moment it shot up from the water. The beautiful bird, with its vibrant blue and orange feathers, was still dripping from the water as it rose triumphantly. The light fell just right, making the droplets splashing from its wings sparkle like tiny diamonds. Capturing such a fleeting moment requires patience and timing, and I was overjoyed to capture this perfect moment from my hiding place.

I would love to have this photo hanging on my wall because it reminds me of the beauty and excitement of nature. Every time I look at this photo, I feel again the excitement of that moment and the admiration for the kingfisher's agility. It is not only a technically successful shot, but also a reminder of the moments of pure happiness that nature can offer us. This photo brings a piece of that dynamic and vibrant world into my home and inspires me daily to keep enjoying the little wonders around us.
