This photo was taken early in the morning at the Kempense Meren in Belgium (Mol). Early 6.20 out of bed for several morning photos. Enjoy the sunbeams, the slowly rippling water, the light mist and the sun slowly shining through the clouds.
The biggest challenge was myself and missing a tripod. It was early, my back ached from the nasty bed in the cottage. I could no longer sleep and was looking forward to the only sunny day ahead. The rest of the week would be cloudy and rainy.
Out of still, with a slightly slower shutter speed, waiting for the first sun. The transition from the blue hour to the golden hour. Where the fog begins to stiffen and a few birds still find themselves calm in the water.
