One of the most atmospheric pieces of Amsterdam is pictured here. The bridge at the intersection of Keizersgracht and Leidsegracht. In the background the 17th century canal houses and a beautiful blue sky. In the foreground the handmade lampposts. Canal boats come and go here to show tourists the beauty of Amsterdam from the water. The Keizersgracht is part of the canal belt of Amsterdam and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

About image-maker Peter Bartelings: As a born and bred Amsterdammer, I feel closely connected - also as a photographer and image-maker - with the city of Amsterdam. In addition to the Amsterdam collection, there is also work from other cities in the Netherlands, such as Haarlem, Groningen, Zwolle, Leiden, Delft etc. In addition, I have also made many works in France and Germany.
