The Blue Arrow!

Three juvenile Common Kingfishers on a nice branch waiting for breakfast to be served by one of the adults!

When they have just left the nest, they will still be fed small and somewhat larger fish for the first few days. After a short while, fish will be offered but no longer given.

By now they have also learned to dive on their own.
After that, the juveniles are chased away to start building their own lives. That sounds harsh but is just nature.

Young or juvenile kingfishers can be recognised by their still somewhat dull feathers, the white tip to their bill and their dark (brown/black) legs. Adult kingfishers have orange-coloured legs. Males have a completely black bill while the bill of adult females is orange on the underside.

Kingfishers can have up to three litters of young per year. They are often already busy with the next lay when your young have just fledged.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
