California's Joshua Tree National Park, one of the many beautiful places this state has to offer. For work, I had to go to Los Angeles and had a few days off to do some sightseeing. This time I had set my sights on the Joshua Tree NP, a good 2-hour drive southeast of the city.
My plan was to do 2 days of astrophotography here but because of the weather, it was only possible for 1 night and I had to make a different plan for the 2nd day. I had already been to the park a few times and had scouted a nice spot to capture a sunset. Armed with my backpack, which contains my camera and lenses, and tripod, I went to my planned location well in advance.
Once I arrived, I set out to find a nice composition that would give the viewer a good impression of the park. Of course, the famous Joshua Trees had to have a place in it.
Because the weather had turned, it turned into a fantastic sunset with threatening skies and beautiful light. For over an hour it was so called prize shooting and I managed to get some great shots like this one here.
With this, half the work is done. The other half to make the work suitable for my shop at work on the wall, I do at home with the necessary post-processing in various photo programs. All in all, that takes time, but if the end result is what I had in mind, I am very satisfied and this work will not look out of place on your wall.
