About ‘Jeep’ by Harry Herman

The Jeep CJ (short for Civilian Jeep) was the commercial version of the military jeep from the Second World War. The first CJ prototypes were built in 1944, and the CJ-2A was introduced by Willys-Overland immediately after the war, in 1945. The basic design remained virtually unchanged across all generations and under three parent companies until 1987.

The most significant changes over the course of 42 model years included the introduction of a rounded body and front mudguards (CJ-5 for 1955), different engines with four, six and even eight cylinders, automatic gearboxes and various four-wheel-drive systems, and the CJ-7 (1976), which featured a 10-inch (25.4 cm) longer wheelbase and more interior space, and popularised doors and a removable plastic hardtop with glazing. The CJ-7 was replaced in 1987 by a very similar model (on the same wheelbase and retaining leaf springs) under the new name Wrangler.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
