Jade Art Deco Stained-Glass Painting: An Upward Plume Full of Tranquillity

by Surreal Media

This work rises upwards. From a small golden sun at the bottom centre, a plume of long, curved leaf-like forms rises, perfectly mirrored, each with its own shade ranging from emerald to jade and soft sage green. Some areas are deep and dark, whilst others glisten like dew on a leaf, with a pearly sheen. Golden lines, thin and continuous, outline each shape. A double frame with stepped corners, typical of Art Deco, runs around the whole piece, as if the image were set in a window. The golden sunbeam motif at the bottom is the small detail to which your eye keeps returning.

I thought of the tranquillity of the evening, the moment when the colours deepen and the gold begins to glow softly. It is a digital artwork with a stained-glass look, featuring a glossy finish that brings out the depth of the green.

The atmosphere is deep, glamorous and serene. The plume evokes a sense of growth, pride and wonder, whilst the gold within adds a touch of luxury without being ostentatious. In a living room, it serves as a focal point of tranquillity; in an office, as a quiet aid to concentration. In a hallway, it immediately gives guests the feeling that they have arrived at a beautiful place. Or visit: "Smaragdgroen Art Deco Glas-in-Lood Schilderij: Twee Bladeren in Liefde".
