Detail of the Ionic columns of the facade of the Royal Crescent, a famous landmark in the city of Bath, Somerset.
The street consists of a semicircle or crescent with 30 houses in it and it was built between 1767 and 1774 to a design by the architect John Wood the Younger. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
