Sunlight tickles the rootlets of the trees along this entrenched path through Kale Berg nature reserve near Barchem.
Kale Berg, sometimes Kalenberg, is a 46.5-metre-high hill in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The Kale Berg is part of the lateral moraine near Lochem, of which the Lochemse Berg forms the highest point. De Kale Berg is located southeast of this hill (Wikipedia).
This work is my first experiment with focus stacking to not only almost count the leaves on the trees into the distance, but also to express the feeling of the crunching leaves and branches under your feet.
The combination of the golden/yellow autumn leaves, the emerging fresh green of spring, along with the afternoon sunlight just breaking through the foliage in a few spots, gives a moment of calm on the wall in any living room.
Use this artwork on a short wall in your office garden, for example, to bring some nature inside for your employees. But also add an extra dimension to the outdoor feeling on the wall in your conservatory.
