Museum harbour Leer, East Frisia. Open-air museum for historic ships Lovely Leer with its old town - its harbour - where the past is still alive - where houses and ships can tell of the skills and work of generations long past right up to the present day. Leer's development into an important trading centre is inextricably linked to shipping. "An't Över bi de Waag" is Leer's oldest landing stage and the Schipper Klottje museum harbour is located on this historic site. Behind the beautiful mizzen ewer "Friedrich", a ship that looks back on almost 100 years of tradition, is the "Schippergilde-Friedrich". This non-profit organisation has set itself the goal of offering young people a perspective.
