About ‘In the Chinese garden’ by Thomas Riess

The central element of the 4,000 m² park, which is enclosed by a wall, is the asymmetrical branching Jasper Green Pond. Behind the lion-guarded main gate, the half-boat bridge leads across it to the rectangular water pavilion. On the other side of it, the Scented Water Gallery stretches along the pond bank and finally ends at the square Mirror Pavilion. Visitors reach the north bank via the zigzagging Jade Belt Bridge. To the west, the bridge offers a view of a rock with a waterfall. The southern part of the garden - beyond the water pavilions - is dominated by a hill on which the pavilion rises in shimmering green. Next to it, a multitude of plants, shrubs, rocks, stones, waterfalls or characters are spread throughout the park. Their arrangement was not left to chance, but rather reflects various references - especially to Chinese symbolic language. (Source: WIKIPEDIA)

Amateur photographer with advanced knowledge, retired for 6 years. Made my first experiences with photography as an employee at CANON and now, after many stations, take photos digitally with the Pentax K1 MK II and various lenses. My main focus is difficult to define. Actually everything that comes in front of my lens and doesn't look like a snapshot. I always try to tell a little story with my pictures or at least to get the viewer's imagination going.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
