About ‘In landing: an AWACS flying radar station, the Boeing E-3 Sentry’ by Jaap van den Berg
Standing at the head of a runway before the landing of the NATO Boeing E-3 Sentry (a so-called AWACS, a flying radar station).
I took this photo in Germany at Fliegerhorst Nörvenich, just across the border near Venlo, October 2020.
This aircraft did 2 touch and go's before it flew to its home base Geilenkirchen.

Jaap van den Berg
Den Haag, Netherlands
I am Jaap van den Berg and photography has become a great passion of mine since 2010. Since then I travel all over the world to take pictures of military aircrafts. But besides aircraft I also love to photograph other subjects like landscapes, architecture, flowers, animals, ships and cranes. Evening photography and macro photography are also something I enjoy doing.
