About the artwork

In the days of the Romans and the Celts, ore was found in the north of France, but because it was not then possible to remove the high phosphorus from the ore, not much was done until in 1870 a way was invented in Great Britain. that it did. Then the iron industry exploded in France and in a deen from Luxembourg. In 1872 the factory was opened consisted of a blast furnace and ore bunkers. Up to the mid-1970s, the steel industry in this region was doing well. In 1977 the blast furnaces closed and were sold to the countries in Asia where they are still in use. In 1997 the rest of the factory was closed and demolished. The only thing that still stands are the ore bunkers ..... but for how long. There are indications that this remaining part will also disappear.
