Ice landscape at Deurne Open Air Theatre by Kristof Leffelaer

This artwork takes you to a hidden corner of the Rivierenhof in Deurne, just behind the famous Open Air Theatre. Where in summer the sounds of music flow over the water, a serene, icy silence now reigns here. The pond has been transformed into a textural surface of ice and snow, with the natural contours of the bank contrasting beautifully with the sleek white surface.

The composition emphasises the stillness of the park in its purest form. The trees surrounding the theatre stand as silent witnesses to the frozen water feature, creating a depth that invites the viewer to pause for a moment. This sculpture is an ode to nature's winter architecture; a play of cold, light and stillness that brings instant calm to any space where it hangs. Ideal for those who have a personal connection to this iconic piece of Antwerp or simply love timeless landscape photography.

Material recommendation: Due to the subtle grey tones and the reflections in the ice, we recommend a print on HD Metal or Aluminium Dibond. This enhances the cool character of the image and gives the snow crystals unprecedented sharpness. Looking for a more classic look? A framed print on Fine Art paper with a black wooden frame creates a beautiful frame around this frozen moment. Also as a photo wallpaper, this is a unique choice to completely transform a wall into a winter wonderland.
