About the artwork

In winter, it gets cold. Temperatures drop below zero and it freezes. Outside, in nature, something magical begins to happen. Ice crystals form. These beautiful ice crystals came to life on a blue lake and look a bit like frozen starfish.

For ice crystals to form, 3 ingredients are needed. Low temperatures, water and dust. Changes in those ingredients cause changes in shape. The shape you see in this photo looks a lot like that of ice flowers. This is a form of ice crystals that occurs on thin glass. Ice flowers are becoming rarer and rarer as we increasingly opt for double glazing and so these photos are also becoming rarer. So hang them up in your home and enjoy.

This work is recommended for winter and Christmas. The color ice blue is a trend color for Christmas 2022. The frozen blue color evokes the winter and Christmas atmosphere and invites to a delicious cup of hot chocolate. The color combines well with snow white, dark blue and shades of gray.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
