About the artwork

A magical spectacle unfolds on the peaks of Pico do Arieiro. The sun slowly sinks behind the horizon, colouring the sky a soft gold, while white clouds creep up from the depths along the mountain sides. They envelop the landscape in a moving veil of light and vapour, as if the mountains were being wrapped by the earth's breath. The rugged, dark rock formations stand out sharply against the soft, gold-tinted clouds that embrace them - a powerful play of contrasts between light and shadow, heavy and light.

It seems as if the mountains are detached from the earth, floating in a sea of clouds, untouched by time. The silence is almost tangible, broken only by the wind brushing past the peaks. Here, on the roof of Madeira, the sunset does not become the end of the day, but a poetic moment when nature, light and altitude come together in pure stillness.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
