A soft bouquet of pink hydrangeas rests in a sea glass vase, set on a silk scarf hanging over the pool edge, bathed in morning light. At first glance, the painting radiates stillness and simplicity—but a closer look reveals delicate shadows, translucent petals, and the quiet weight of memory.
This piece was inspired by a gentle summer morning while on holiday in Spain. The hydrangeas, freshly cut and still cool from the garden, reminded me of my grandmother’s sea glass vase—an object I’ve cherished for years. Painting it became a meditative act. Layer by layer, I built up the petals and softened the light, letting emotion lead the brush.
The atmosphere is quiet and tender. It brings a sense of peace to any room and speaks to those who appreciate calm, beauty, and timeless detail. I hope it reminds the viewer to pause, breathe, and take in the still beauty found in everyday life.
Ideal for interiors with a natural or romantic palette, this artwork harmonizes with wood, linen, and soft light. Whether placed in a bedroom, reading nook, or peaceful workspace, it creates a moment of tranquility.
