The beautiful Tusschenwater nature reserve is located between Hoogezand and Zuidlaren near the Zuidlaardermeer area. Around 2019, this area will be officially opened. It is a water extraction and water storage area but also an area where many species of birds also found a new foraging area but the beaver and otter can also find a home here. The area is managed by The Drentse Landschap Foundation. The picture shows the trees here in the ice.
