About ‘Human nature I’ by Saskia Nelissen

Human Nature II is a surrealistic portrait depicting the unity of man and nature

She woman rises, as it were, from the tree trunk and is adorned with a beautiful surreal foliage like hair.
The tree bark is draped around her neck like a modern design ornament.

Nature is a hot commodity at the moment. To avoid losing it completely, we as humans need to become more one with nature and take better care of it.

If we take good care of nature, nature will take good care of us.

For this work, I first made a drawing of the underside of a young woman's face. I did this digitally on Wacom Cintiq Pro. Then I used parts of different photos's for the leaves and the trunk with bark.

I think the artwork will do well especially with people who are very much championing nature at the moment, they feel we need to live more in symbiosis with nature to keep our earth livable and beautiful

My name is Saskia Nelissen, I live and work in Rijswijk and in May 2010 I started my own company in Visual Communication, Kasias Photo Art.
Kasias is involved in special projects in the field of photography, image editing and graphic design.

I also teach Photoshop and Lightroom courses for amateurs and professionals and I've been running the Photo Art Club since 2011. We deal with extreme photo editing and experimental photography.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
