About "Tuvalu 2050"

About the artwork

The image titled *Tuvalu 2050* shows a penetrating, surreal vision of the future in which wooden houses float underwater, held by long, dark roots or cables. The warm lights in the windows contrast sharply with the chilly, blue-green underwater world they are in. Between the cottages, fish swim quietly through the image, as if this scene is part of a new, aquatic reality.

This composition poetically depicts the possible consequences of climate change and rising sea levels. Tuvalu, a Pacific island state, is sketched here as a sunken society - the cottages as silent witnesses of what once was. The lights suggest life or memory, as if the inhabitants are still there, somewhere between past and future.

The rays of light breaking through the water from above give the scene a dreamy, almost spiritual feel. *Tuvalu 2050* is not only a visual exploration of a conceivable future, but also a silent warning. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
