People in central Mexico organize this conical structures made from the remanents of corn crops after harvest. In the local culture people say they are ''casitas de indios''.
This crops in particular were found in the countryside north from Mexico city. Every year lots of people walk from all over central part of Mexico to arrive to Chalma, a religious gathering site (now catholic but exists from prehispanic times). People offer a personal sacrifice in order to obtain a miracle happening.
