"Hotel Voltaire (2023)"
A place, a name, a shadow of history.
"Hotel Voltaire" combines photographic reality with graphic superimposition - a quiet street scene interspersed with filigree linear figures that wander through the façade like thoughts or ghosts.
The work plays with layers: Light and texture meet the sketchy, the concrete meets the ephemeral. The impression is nostalgic, but not backward-looking - more like a memory that was never quite real.
A visual dialogue between the place in Arles (France) and the idea - between Voltaire, the traveller, and the empty space that every hotel promises.
