I took this photo in Kowloon, Hong Kong. For my work I was allowed to go this way and in advance I had marked a number of locations to photograph including this building complex which includes a hotel.
Armed with tripod, camera and an ultra-wide 12mm lens, I headed in this direction. I had been here in previous years but if a location is good, I like to come back and try to make something "better" out of it.
Similarly, this time it was again a search for a good original composition. Since the windows reflect on all sides, the possibilities here are endless. For this photo, I had my back against 1 of the buildings and placed my camera tight and high against the wall and saw this composition. Sometimes you can see right away that you are right and I had that with this photo.
But just pressing the button is not enough; I will work on that at home. Because at home I process 99% of my photos because I have a large screen, a fast desktop and a Wacom drawing tablet and various software packages at my disposal to quietly edit my photos and make them suitable for my shop here at werk aan de muur.
