To take this picture, I waited for quite some time until a bee came to sit exactly straight on the straw flower I had pointed my camera at. It took ample time before I had the image I had in mind.
Looking at the photos on the computer, I noticed that the right wing is a bit damaged, but that also makes the image special. Not everything is perfect in nature but imperfect too is beautiful and useful.
This bee is busy collecting honey while making sure the flowers are pollinated.
For me, this is a special photo that highlights the usefulness of insects and the beauty of these little animals.
I was born and live in the Netherlands. From my childhood I have been photographing, but the last 10 years I've been really active with it.
My preference is for landscape and macro photography, but I also like to experiment with patterns and the like.
