The Hofstraat bridge was constructed after 1590. On the drawing of the bridge from 1780, the bridge is called "dBrugh tegen de hofstraat ". During the discussion on the naming of the bridge in the 20s (20th century) it was immediately clear what the name of the bridge should be. Hof refers to the then present orchards. In the sixties, the bridge was renovated together with the Ridderstraatbrug (028) and the Baanbrug (026). Here you see the bridge and a part of the Oude Gracht.
