About the artwork

Historic mosaic at the old city wall in Cochem. Germany. Cochem is an outspoken tourist town. In addition to the famous wine, of course, the world famous Reichsburg dominates and can be seen from afar high above the city. The history of Cochem, like many other Moselle towns, dates back to the time of the Celts and the Romans. The existence of the town is mentioned for the first time in 886 in a document from the abbey of Prüm, near Bitburg. Cochem was granted city rights in 1332. The famous castle was built around 1020. The castle came under the authority of the Bishop of Trier in 1294 and he had it built into a strong fortress. During this time, the town was also given walls and gates. In order to be able to collect tolls the Moselle could be closed with a chain. Whoever wanted to sail along had to pay first. In 1689 the fortress, like almost all of Cochem, was destroyed by French army troops.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
