Polder de Noordwaard in the Biesbosch temporarily collects water due to the high water level in the rivers. The Biesbosch has made room for the river Merwede. The photo was taken on 11 February 2020 on a bridge of the Bandijk, where the high water tourists drive back and forth. The dark clouds announce a winter hailstorm, but the sun does not yet give in. A farm lies dry on a mound, where also cattle are temporarily stationed. Rijkswaterstaat and Staatsbosbeheer carry out regular inspections.
