Tips for use
  • Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

  • Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Het Meisje met de Parel - the Balthasar van der Ast Edition’ by Marja van den Hurk

The Girl with the Pearl Earring, originally painted by Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer in about 1665-1667.

In this version, I have digitally combined the girl with a still life by Dutch painter Balthasar van der Ast, created by him around 1630.

It is a wonderfully successful combination that reminds me of autumn and winter…
