About ‘Here, the world slows down and you can hear the silence’ by Yanik Florin

One summer evening in the Charente, I was struck by the simplicity of this landscape. No spectacular mountain peaks or famous landmarks, just rolling fields slowly glowing in the warm golden light of the setting sun. It was precisely that simplicity that made it so special. The solitary tree on the horizon provides a natural focal point and lends the vast landscape a sense of balance and timelessness.

When taking this photograph, I wanted not only to capture a place, but above all the atmosphere of an evening when everything seems to slow down. The soft light, the open space and the silence of the French countryside invite you to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is an image that evokes long summer evenings when time seems to stand still.

With its tranquil composition and warm colours, this piece brings a sense of harmony to any interior. It fits beautifully in a living room, bedroom or workspace where you wish to create a relaxed and natural atmosphere. A timeless landscape that does not demand attention, but instead brings a sense of calm whenever you look at it.
