My adaptation of the lovely painting ‘Cat with kittens’ painted in 1844 by Dutch-Belgian painter Henriette Ronner-Knip.
In this version, I digitally removed the cats from their original background with precision, attention and repsect for the original artwork and placed them in a picture frame.
Because I have added shadows and because 1 kitten, as you can see, is about to escape, a special 3D effect occurs, making the entire image a trompe-l'œil (an image in fine art where an optical illusion is deliberately created).
