About ‘Heldrungen Fortress’ by Thomas Bugdoll

Heldrungen Fortress is a fortress used until 1712 with two moats, four Vauban bastions and five roundels and is located in Heldrungen, Thuringia. The core of the fortress shows itself as a bastioned castle from 1519, while the surrounding ramparts and bastions date from 1668. The main gate of the fortress is in turn flanked by two mighty round towers. The multi-storey Renaissance castle dates back to a 13th-century castle and still shows some architectural elements from the Gothic period in its structure, such as the division of the windows. A Romanesque keep, also called the "Müntzer Tower" because of the peasant leader imprisoned there, is integrated into the south wing of the castle. The building was rebuilt several times over the course of time and dilapidated parts were demolished, but today the castle presents itself in an exemplary restored version.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
