About "Hazernestraat Denneweg The Hague The Netherlands"

About the artwork

Kazernestraat is a street in the centre of The Hague, running from Parkstraat to Denneweg. The street runs parallel to Lange Voorhout behind the Kloosterkerk to the back of Hotel Des Indes. The street is located in the Voorhout neighbourhood of the Centrum district[ In addition, it is part of Buurtschap 2005.

The street name dates from 1844, before that it was known as the path 'Achter de Stallen' or sometimes as Denneweg. This is because the oldest properties on the street are the coach houses belonging to the houses on Lange Voorhout. Together with Lange Voorhout, this path behind the stables dates back to the 15th century, making it one of the oldest streets in The Hague.

The street name refers to the Orange Barracks of the Grenadiers and Hunters, built in 1824 on the Noordsingel (now Mauritskade). The rear entrance to this barracks was where, later, on Kazernestraat 52, the Supreme Court of the Netherlands had its offices. Since 23 August 2021, that office building has temporarily housed the Senate.

There is only one street connecting Kazernestraat to Lange Voorhout, Kleine Kazernestraat.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
