About ‘Hamburg Speicherstadt: The transition’ by Sascha Reuen

Description of the artwork:

This artwork shows a covered walkway in Hamburg's historic warehouse district. The photorealistic depiction emphasises the industrial architecture with its striking brick facades, lattice railings and massive supporting pillars. Small details, such as the graffiti on the walls and the rays of light, create a special atmosphere and invite discovery.

Inspiration and genesis:
The picture was created during a walk through the Speicherstadt warehouse district. I was inspired by the mixture of historical heritage and urban modernity. I wanted to capture the tranquillity of the moment and the interplay of light and shadow to take the viewer on a journey.

Atmosphere and message:
The artwork conveys calm and thoughtfulness. The transition from darkness to light symbolises hope and progress. It symbolises the connection between past and present, which can be experienced with every step over this footbridge.

Technique and speciality:
I used a special HDR technique to emphasise the details in the dark and light areas. The post-processing emphasises the textures of the bricks and wood and brings out the industrial charm of the Speicherstadt.

Uniqueness in interior design:
This artwork fits perfectly in modern and industrial interiors, especially in lofts or offices. It is reminiscent of a visit to Hamburg and inspires new adventures in urban landscapes. Bring a piece of Hamburg into your home.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
