The dawn has gold in its mouth, and on this morning that saying was fully realized. Out of bed early, armed with my camera, I set off. The weather forecast was promising: hardly any wind, a few clouds and of course the mill "De Adriaan" as a backdrop. Everything fell into place.
Getting up early was richly rewarded. The sunrise colored the sky in warm hues of pink and orange, while the water of the Spaarne was mirror-smooth. A moment of silence and beauty, almost unreal. For this shot, I chose to take multiple images and carefully merge them into a panorama. This creates a wide and balanced view from the Kelderwindkade to the Koudenhorn, with Haarlem's iconic windmill on the right as a visual anchor.
At home, I edit my photos with pleasure and dedication. Every detail gets attention, so that the final result is not only technically correct, but also conveys the mood of the moment. My aim is to create images that touch, works of art that tell a story and deserve a lasting place on your wall.
