Haarlem station, the oldest station in the Netherlands. On a wintry Sunday evening, I decided to go there to capture the station as I saw it before me. The silence on the streets worked in my favor, few people, no traffic, just the way I like it for my photography.
From a slightly higher vantage point, the building comes out better. After that, it was a matter of waiting. No buses, no passers-by. Just the station, in all its glory. Patience is essential in my work, and it was rewarded. I was able to get exactly the shots I had in mind. When my fingers got too cold, I knew: the moment had been had.
At home, I spend a lot of time on post-processing. Every detail is carefully adjusted so that the image is not only technically correct, but also visually calm and full of character. My goal is clear: a photo that is not only beautiful, but also fits into an interior with personality.
