As the oldest railway station in the Netherlands, opened in 1839, Haarlem Station oozes character and nostalgia. I lived near it, and then it is almost a matter of course that you head there with your camera.
I took this photo in the evening, deliberately chosen for two reasons: the platform is quieter then, and the warm light provides an atmospheric aura that is difficult to capture during the day. The combination of architecture and lighting really brings the station to life.
My choice of this viewpoint was not accidental. The beautiful windows and, of course, the name "Haarlem" above the entrance gave the image exactly the look I was looking for.
After a few shots, I walked back home, where the creative process continues. There, I carefully edit the images so that they are not only technically correct, but also radiate emotion and atmosphere, ready to conquer a place on your wall.
